When founding public instinct we had one goal in mind, to shape the landscape of digital media in South Africa and to create unique and innovative IT and new media solutions. We, as a team of communications and IT professionals, came together to develop stylish yet functional solutions that are state-of-the-art and sustainable at the same time. As a trained and qualified IT specialist, Jörg is responsible for the development and implementation of IT concepts. He works closely together with our clients to identify appropriate technologies and to design the best possible solution.
He has developed his skills at the Technical University of Ilmenau in Germany. His studies in Europe gave him access to newest technologies as well as scientific results and enabled Jörg to gain extensive experience in IT Consulting and training.
Jörg had the chance to proof his skills by working for various national as well as international organisations. Furthermore he was active as a self-employed contractor in the USA in 2001.

As a trained journalist and media scientist, Melanie has co-founded public instinct with the aim to combine newest technologies with outstanding designs and effective communication strategies.
She has developed her skills at the Technical University of Ilmenau in Germany. Her studies in Europe gave her access to newest technologies as well as scientific results.
Furthermore Melanie has gained extensive working experience in different fields and positions in national and international organisations.

As a trained engineer, he entered the communication field in 1983 as publishing-editor of the first community, knock & drop newspaper in the Western Cape. He championed community and small business development through a number of projects, programmes, research, publishing books and business magazines.
He served as Chief Executive of the Institute of Democratic Economic Development (IDED) from 1990–1993 researching and developing post-apartheid economic and BEE policy frameworks.
He established the first, licensed-community radio network in Southern Africa, 1993- 1999.
In 1993 Jeffrey founded Sakaza Communications (Pty) Ltd,, a company that invests in appropriate communication technology, human capital and nurtures innovative human spirit as the keys to the effective delivery for all its client and projects.
In 2005 he joined public instinct as one of the founding members. Since then he has contributed his skills and substantial experience to the benefit of our clients.
